Customised Care.
Home Care looks different for everyone—because your needs are unique to you.
For some, it’s help with managing medication or support getting to appointments. For others, it’s support with mobility using equipment like hoists to move around safely, or compassionate end-of-life care at home.
It might mean help with daily living tasks like bathing, dressing, shopping or preparing meals or supporting mental and emotional health needs.
If you're recovering from an illness or injury, our reablement-focused care helps you regain strength, rebuild skills, and get back to doing the things you love—with confidence.
If you have more complex needs or living with a long-term health condition such as dementia, Parkinson’s, multiple sclerosis, or a physical disability, our highly skilled team provide specialist care that meets your health, emotional, and routine needs—all in the comfort of home.
You don’t have to manage alone. Whether it's short-term support or long-term care, NuvoCare is here to make daily life easier, safer, and more comfortable—for you and your family.
No matter what your care goals look like —we’re here to help you achieve them.

Regulated Care vs. Non Regulated PA's
We’re often asked: what’s the difference between using the services of a professional regulated care company vs. hiring a private personal assistant?
Choosing between a regulated care company and hiring a personal assistant is a big decision. Understanding the key differences can help you find the best fit for your needs. To make things easier, we’ve outlined some key points below—so you can make an informed choice with confidence!

Accountability Through Oversight
-
Regulated care providers are monitored by bodies like the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and often work with Local Authorities, unlike self-employed private carers or PA's.
-
The CQC oversees health and care services in England and Wales, such as hospitals, home care services, supported living services, care homes, GP and dental practices and more, ensuring compliance with UK laws and standards through regular inspections.
-
Regulated providers offer accountability and consistent quality, while private care arrangements, like self-employed private carers, lack external oversight, leading to potential risks and varying care quality.
Insurance
-
As a regulated care provider we must have the correct employers and public liability insurance policies in place giving you peace of mind if something goes wrong.
-
Hiring a private carer directly can leave you without legal protection if disputes or incidents occur in your home.
Thorough Vetting
-
We strictly follow the Health and Social Care Act and other regulations to deliver the highest standards of care.
-
Our staff undergo thorough vetting, including criminal record checks, references, identity, right-to-work, and qualification verification.
-
Rigorous screening and interviews help us hire the best, minimising risks and building a trustworthy team.
-
Private care arrangements often lack this level of thoroughness.
Employment & Training
-
As a regulated care provider, we handle all aspects of employment—recruitment, HR, holidays, contracts, payroll, taxes, and insurance—saving you time and responsibility. Private care arrangements may leave you responsible for these areas.
-
Our staff receive regular industry-approved training to ensure exceptional care and safeguard your well-being.
-
Managers actively supervise teams to maintain safety, professionalism, and expertise—unlike private care, which often lacks oversight and formal training.
-
Without proper training and management, private assistants risk errors in care, mishandling medication, or misusing equipment, potentially leading to harm or added costs for training.
Reliability
-
Choosing a regulated provider like NuvoCare ensures expert care from a skilled and flexible team, ready to adapt as your needs grow.
-
We can quickly arrange additional support, such as extra care workers, ensuring a seamless service.
-
Reliable schedules managed by qualified staff ensure uninterrupted care, even during staff absences.
-
Private carer arrangements can lack reliability, with gaps in care due to time off or unforeseen issues.
-
Single assistants may face fatigue from long hours and struggle to scale care as your needs increase.
-
With NuvoCare, your evolving care needs are met without disruption, staying with one trusted provider.
Fully-Managed Professional Services
-
Relax knowing your service is fully managed, available 7 days a week, all year round. A manager is always just a phone call away to assist with your needs.
-
Choosing a regulated care company means structured care from highly trained professionals, held to strict quality standards. Ongoing training equips staff to handle complex care needs with confidence, ensuring consistent, reliable support.
-
Unlike private care with personal assistants, regulated companies can scale resources to meet changing needs seamlessly.
-
NuvoCare maintains high standards through a professional code of conduct, regular assessments, quality checks, and management oversight, addressing any issues swiftly.
-
Non-regulated care lacks standardised protocols, leading to inconsistent care. Personal assistants may not have the training or resources to provide specialised care or adapt to changing requirements effectively.
-
Relying on a single assistant risks dependency, leaving you vulnerable if they leave their role.
-
Regulated care companies comply with ICO data protection standards, safeguarding your privacy. Private assistants may lack oversight, increasing the risk of data breaches.
Ultimately, your decision depends on the level of personalisation, accountability, and flexibility you need. Whether you value relying on one personal assistant or the professional reliability and personalised care of a regulated care company, the right choice will prioritise your well-being and peace of mind.
Home Care vs Care Homes
Many families assume care homes are the only option when extra support is needed with day to day living, but this is no longer the case. Home Care is fast becoming a viable and preferable alternative, offering a personalised solution that enhances lives and eases responsibilities for many families.
Care Homes provide both accommodation and care, making them different from Home Care, which focuses on providing care in your own home. Care homes offer a safe and supportive environment, typically with a private bedroom and bathroom alongside shared communal spaces. However, services, facilities, and levels of care can vary widely. Receiving consistent care from the same people can also be challenging in a care home facility.
Home Care involves a care professional who knows you well, providing personalised care to you at home. With NuvoCare, our services can range with visits from as little as 30 minutes to living with you full-time providing round the clock care. The primary goal of Home Care is to promote independence and enhance quality of life while allowing you to remain in the secure, familiar environment of your own home.
Stay at Home, Stay Connected

Home is where you feel your best—surrounded by the people and things you love. Home Care with NuvoCare, you can stay close to friends and family, enjoy visitors whenever you like, and continue living with your partner and pets! Unlike care homes, where couples are often separated due to space constraints and pets aren't usually allowed. Regular visits from friends and family may be limited or challenging leaving you feeling disconnected and isolated. Home Care helps you stay connected to what matters most.
Live Life Your Way

Maintain your independence and keep living life on your terms. Home Care can help you with everyday tasks of living while empowering you to do as much as you wish, for yourself. Unlike care homes, where many feel a loss of independence, and have to adjust to a set schedule (with wake-up calls sometimes as early as 5am). With Home Care you decide when to wake up, eat, and socialise—preserving the routines and lifestyle you’ve always known.
One to One Care

Home Care is all about you. It offers personalised, one-to-one support—from hourly visits to 24/7 live-in care. You’re supported by someone who knows you well, building a trusted connection over time. Unlike care homes with busy staff managing many residents, Home Care focuses 100% on your needs. Continue doing the things you love the most, whether that's gardening, attending day centres or social clubs, hobbies or visiting places of worship or interest. It’s flexible, personalised support, and works around your routines, putting you first every step of the way.
Choose Where To Live

Selling your home and moving into an unfamiliar care facility can feel overwhelming, especially for those living with health challenges like dementia. The uncertainty and change can take it's toll on health conditions. With limited availability of care homes and locations, the choices can feel narrower. But with Home Care, you stay independent and in control. You choose where you live, the level of care you need, and how you want to receive it. It’s care on your terms, in the place that feels best—home.
Complex Health Conditions

Not all care homes are equipped to provide the specialised support needed for complex conditions like dementia, Parkinson’s, or multiple sclerosis. For some, a care home’s structure works well—but for others who value the independence of living at home, it can feel restrictive. Specialist Condition-Led Home Care delivered by highly trained care professionals can be a transformative solution. Familiar surroundings and preserving routines play a vital role in supporting those living with conditions such as dementia, offering a sense of stability and comfort.
